Obituary for Samuel Rogers Sharp
Samuel Rogers Sharp, age 88, of Bridgeton, NJ passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2019 following a long period of declining health.
Mr. Sharp was born and raised in Masonville, NJ, son of Samuel R. and Mary (Angelow) Sharp. Samuel was a dairy farmer and he and his brother operated Sharp Dairy Farm in Masonville for many years. He moved to Bridgeton NJ in 1996 after the farm was sold. Mr. Sharp was active in the Grange Local 44 and the Mount Laurel Fire Department and First Aid squad. The Mount Laurel Emergency Medical Services was especially important to him and a building there was named in his honor.
Samuel is survived by a daughter, Margaret Ann Sharp; a sister, Marjorie F. Ballentine; a brother, Harold LeRoy Sharp and his wife, Janice Sharp. He was predeceased by his son, Samuel Roger Sharp and by his spouse, Margaret B. Sharp.
A viewing will be held on Friday, March 1st from 10:00 to 11:00 AM immediately followed by the funeral service, both at the Mount Laurel Home for Funerals, 212 Ark Road, Mount Laurel, NJ. Interment will follow at Woodlane Cemetery in Mount Holly, NJ.
